Weight Loss News Study Shows to Burn More Calories You Should Exercise Less
A new study from the University of New South Wales (Australia) has found a new way to exercise less and burn evne more calories.
Instead of exercising continuously at a regular pace, the new study shows that it may be more beneficial to go fast for a short while and then slow it down (also known as interval exercising or training).
The group studied did approximately eight seconds of sprinting on a bike, followed by 12 seconds of exercising lightly for 20 minutes. They lost three times as much fat as other women who exercised at a continuous, regular pace for 40 minutes.
The study involved a group of 45 overweight women who cycled three times a week over a 15-week period.
This type of interval exercise should also work with jogging & walking.
So, no more excuses! Say you don’t have enough time to get a workout in? Now you can do it in 20 minutes.
Piece of cake! er, apple.
